If you have been on social media the last couple of days, then you know there has been much fighting, division, and separation. I can't lie I even joined because I felt like I had to defend my God and His righteousness. Then this morning at 4 am, God woke me up to pray and spend time with Him. During this time I talked to Him about everything that's been going on, I mean I laid it all out!!
Surprisingly, He didn't respond like I intended Him to. He wasn't upset and ready to rain down fire like I wanted Him to and kill everyone. LOL!! Instead, He put this song in my spirit called Surrounded by Michael Smith and I immediately looked it up and the lyrics spoke volumes. He reminded me we don't fight like the world in the Kingdom of God, we fight with prayer and praise. He also said, don't be distracted, the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy our TIME. How long have you been on social media wasting time, and you haven't done what God has called you to do?
You can't win the blind, lost, or worldly people by fussing at them because some of them have been blinded by the truth, but what we can do is pray that God opens their spiritual eyes up to His truth and His righteousness. The Bible says, "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God." 2 Corin 4:4 Don't get busy fighting wrong, and end up on the wrong side by default. See the devil is sneaky, he knows if he plants seeds of offense, unforgiveness, bitterness, anger, etc that he can hinder our prayers from being effective. He knows if we let these things in our hearts, he now has an open door to come in and attack.
Remember: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Praise is a spiritual weapon. The power of praise in battles is shown in 2 Chronicles 20, Psalm 8:2, and Psalm 149:5-9. Praise helps us to focus on God and realize our need for Him, and thus turn the battle over to Him. When we do this, God will then bring Victory!! This makes Praise, Prayer, and Dependence on God great weapons in spiritual warfare.
