vi·sion: the ability to think about or plan the future with imagination or wisdom.
During this time, God has been teaching me a lot about the importance of understanding your mission in life and also the power of vision.
When I hear the word vision, I think of dreams, goals, planning, and vision boards. I learned though that vision actually has to do with what you see for yourself in the future. I also learned what we vision for our lives might be totally different than what God has a vision for our lives.
It's very important to seek God about our visions because we will be chasing and building a life that is not according to God's plan perfect will or plan.
Jeremiah is a prophet in the Bible that wanted to get married and he had his own vision and plan for his future. However, God revealed His perfect will to Jeremiah and told him that it wasn't His plan for Jeremiah to have a wife. So, even though that was a good plan it wasn't God's will.
We have to be careful because I hear a lot of people say if they have the desire that must mean God gave it to them. In this case, it was the opposite.
We must be very careful that we are not building lives, outside of God's will because it sounds and looks good.
Ways to know what is God's vision for your life:
Spend one on one time with God, He will tell you who you are and what He created you to do.
Understand your destiny and accept it, the quicker you die to self and accept His will, the faster He could use you.
